When you create a facebook busines page you will automatically have a url
It may look something like this http://www.facebook.com/blablabla/3423h4h32u4uio32ui14/pages/ejfhjfhjkrhfjkrhjkr7
This cannot really be passed to an interested party verbally, or on hard copy such as a leaflet
If you have a username it will be something like this:
http://www.facebook.com/yourbusinessname
This can be given on the phone, face to face, printed on a leaflet etc. It makes logical sense, its easy for someone to guess.
So hows it done? You need to get at least 25 people to “like” your page. Once you have 25 “likes” (which used to be referred to as “fans” you can get your username.
Just to http://www.facebook.com/username/ and follow the instructions to change your url to include your new meaningful username.
It is worth pestering family and friend to “like” your page! Once you reach 25 and subsequently get your username, you will be able to promote it in many different ways, including printed material.
