We had an enquiry this week from someone who had been hijacked by efix.
The reason we are posting this SIMPLE solution is that when the problem is Googled, you are met with websites who want to SELL you a solution, in the form of download; this in itself could cause further damage to your system!
All you need to do it to reset Firefox. The Mozilla support pages explain the reset in more detail.
Basically, click on the Firefox menu on the right hand side, under the X.
Then click on the small question mark. Click “troubleshooting information”.
On the next screen click”reset firefox”. This will remove efix. BUT it will preserve passwords and bookmarks.
